Yoshitomo Nara at Hayward Gallery

You belong. You deserve to have a home. Children deserve peace and safety.

Yoshitomo Nara is on from 10th June to 31st August 2025. Both the gallery and the gift shop had been packed from its opening morning. The most packed I have ever seen actually at Hayward gallery given the weekday morning hour. A lot of merch were sold out within a few days before reaching the opening weekend. The online shop also had to pause on selling Nara’s merch with the exception of his publications for awhile. So, book well ahead. Expect the venue to be crowded - be mindful and kind to everyone and watch out for artworks. And expect to queue a snake queue at the gift shop.

This to me feels like using satellite dish as canvas. To echo and spread the message of this child and inner child feelings. I felt that then and I feel it now.
